The
Scottish Agility League is open to handlers and their dogs who
reside in Scotland and for Kennel Club Shows held in Scotland only
-
The League is representative of each dog’s achievements;
therefore you can still claim points if run by a different handler
-
The
League year begins in 1st January and ends 31st
December
-
The
Administrator for the League is Fiona Young.
Registration
-
Cost
to join the League is £13 for registration which includes the first
dog.
-
Any
additional dogs cost £3 per extra dog. This is a fixed rate and should you joint halfway through the
season the fee will remain the same.
-
Juniors
-
If
you Register as a Junior, your Dog's name will automatically
have the letter 'J'
inserted after the name
-
Juniors
are free
-
Points
may only be gained from Junior Classes in Scotland. There are two Junior options – Under 12 and Over
12
-
NOTE
when Juniors are entering points, you must ensure the dog
name selected is the name that includes the 'J'
suffix to ensure that points are credited to the Junior
League
-
Veteran
dogs have to be 9 years or over and the award is for dogs that gain
places in Veteran classes only
-
Only
Kennel Club officially measured dog height categories are accepted
-
The
dogs will remain in the grade and height in which they start the
League year, and for the duration of that calendar year
-
When
registering you can choose to which Club you wish your points to be
awarded. These
points go toward the Top Club award.
You cannot change your chosen club half way through the
season.
Managing
Points
-
Handlers
are responsible for submitting their own points. These
should be submitted as soon as possible after the end of each show,
but at the latest, within 4 calendar weeks of the Show finishing
e.g. Show closes on a Sunday, results to be entered by midnight
on the Saturday four weeks later.
Any points submitted after the 4 week period will be removed.
Should you have any queries or questions regarding points
please contact me at
admin@scottishagilityleague.com
-
Points may be claimed for clear rounds even if no Rosette is
presented. For example, if you are 5th but Rosettes
are ony given to 3rd, you may still claim for 5th and so on -
only CLEAR rounds however!
You may claim points if you get a Rosette with faults.
The
League is run on an honesty policy.
A key change from previous years is the fact that everybody
can see where and when your points were gained.
There will be spot checks made during the year and anyone
found to be entering false results will be removed from the League
and no refund will be given.
I
will do my best to make sure that the information is correct but
cannot be held responsible for any errors
These
Rules are subject to change and any change will be notified via the
Scottish Agility League Home page and on the League Facebook page.
The last revision date is shown below.
Should
anyone have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to
contact me via the Facebook page, email or chat with me at a Show.
I
would like to end by thanking Hannah and Eileen once again for
starting and administering the League over the past years and I will
do my best to continue their amazing work.
Here
is to a fun filled agility year and good luck to everyone!
